Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the standard most accessibility laws and policies refer to. We treat accessibility problems as bugs and fix them in the same way.
What we have built in
Keyboard
Every menu, button, filter, calculator and form works with a keyboard alone. A “Skip to content” link is the first thing you reach, and the focus outline is always visible.
Screen readers
Pages use real headings, lists, tables and form labels. Live figures are not read out on every refresh; results of calculators, filters and searches are announced once they settle.
Charts
Each chart has a text summary of its range, low and high. Focus a chart and use the left and right arrow keys to hear each value with its date.
Moving content
The moving data strip and the live burn counter have Pause buttons. If your device is set to reduce motion, animations are switched off and counters update less often.
Colour and zoom
Text and controls meet the WCAG contrast ratios, and nothing relies on colour alone. Pages reflow to a 320-pixel-wide screen and stay usable at 400% zoom without sideways scrolling.
How we checked
Last checked on 27 October 2026:
Automated checks
Every page was scanned with axe-core against the WCAG 2.1 A and AA rules, at desktop and phone widths.
Manual checks
We tested keyboard-only use, focus order, the text-spacing test, reflow at 320 pixels and the main page types by hand.
Known limitations
Some content comes from other services and is outside our control: embedded YouTube videos, the Telegram sign-in button for comments, and the external websites and PDFs we link to as sources. If one of them blocks you, tell us and we will find another way to give you the information.
Tell us about a problem
If something on XDC Watch is hard or impossible to use, please contact us and choose “Accessibility problem”. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do and, if you like, the browser or assistive technology you use. We read every report.
