It depends on how you use XDC. For larger amounts, a hardware wallet such as Ledger or Trezor keeps your keys offline. For XDC apps and everyday use, a browser or mobile wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby with the XDC network added works well.
Yes. Add the XDC network (chain ID 50) to MetaMask, then use your MetaMask address to receive XDC. Add XDC to MetaMask.
XDC wallets often show addresses with an xdc prefix instead of 0x. Both point to the same account. Switch formats with the address converter.
