How to keep XDC on a Ledger
Ledger describes this setup on its XDC page (checked 4 October 2026).
Set up your Ledger
Set up the device with Ledger's official app and write your 24-word recovery phrase on paper. Never type it into a website or share it with anyone.
Connect it to a supported wallet
Open one of the wallets Ledger lists for XDC, such as MyEtherWallet, and choose the option to connect a Ledger hardware wallet. Follow that wallet's own guide.
Receive XDC on the XDC network
Copy your XDC address in the wallet and confirm it on the Ledger screen. When you withdraw from an exchange, pick the XDC network (chain ID 50), not another network, and send a small test amount first.
xdc… and 0x… addresses
An XDC address can be written with an xdc prefix or a 0x prefix. Both point to the same account (XDC documentation). Some wallets and exchanges accept only one format; our address converter switches between them.
Ledger's own app and XDC
Ledger's XDC page points to third-party wallets rather than Ledger's own app for managing XDC. If Ledger adds direct support, we will update this page.
Ledger and XDC questions
