ISO 20022: what each actually has
"Cryptocurrencies are not inherently ISO 20022 compliant. There is a lot of confusion and misleading information on the web referring to ISO 20022 compliant cryptocurrencies but those statements are not correct. The cryptocurrencies are not managed and not registered by ISO 20022."
Documentation and an ecosystem messaging API; no formal role in the standard and no bank integration named in primary sources.
Software or claims: XDC developer documentation maps ISO 20022 message types (pacs.008, pacs.009, camt.053, pain.001) to XDC transactions, with example code. docs.xdc.network
Software or claims: Impel, a company building on XDC, launched an ISO 20022 financial messaging API and demo on XDC mainnet in 2022. impel.xinfin.network
Stellar
XLMBank network or pilot
No formal role; one third-party bank network on Stellar uses ISO 20022 messaging.
Integration: DCM's Transparent Network, an instant-payments network for Ukrainian banks built on Stellar, described by Stellar as having an "ISO 20022 compliance-by-default" framework (live in 2024). stellar.org

Key differences between XDC and XLM
Stellar validators are not paid for validating. XDC masternodes stake 10 million XDC each and earn rewards.
Stellar fees go to a pool nobody can access. On XDC the base fee is burned and the tip goes to the block producer.
Stellar smart contracts (Soroban) are written in Rust. XDC runs Solidity contracts on the EVM.
XDC vs XLM FAQ
XDC Network is layer-1 blockchain (evm-compatible) focused on trade finance, real-world asset tokenization and enterprise applications. Stellar is described by its developers as: layer-1 blockchain; lumens (xlm) are its native asset, with a focus on access to the financial system: payments and remittances.
"ISO 20022 coin" is a market label, not a certification: the ISO 20022 Registration Authority says cryptocurrencies are not registered by the standard (iso20022.org FAQ). For Stellar: No formal role; one third-party bank network on Stellar uses ISO 20022 messaging.
